  11. More venting at Bill Gates and Co. I just purchased a Star LC
  12. 1001C printer. I use it with a Xetec Super Graphic interface.
  13. It came complete with two 3 1/4 inch disks. One appears to be
  14. fonts, to be loaded from a PC. One is all the procedures for 
  15. setting the darned thing up, in WINDOWS. The manual is completley
  16. inadequate. I have been having a heck of a time getting TWS
  17. set up to work with my new printer. If I didn't have the manual
  18. for my previous printer, a Star NX-1001, I would be completely
  19. lost. The "Trouble-shooting" section tells you how to deal with
  20. lots of possible problems, using the disk!

  22. Why did I buy a printer that is obviously meant to be used only
  23. with some 3 1/4 inch disks and WINDOWS? That's not what I
  24. ordered. I ordered a Star NX-1001, which is still listed in the
  25. Lyben catalog, but is no longer available! Lyben substituted
  26. the new one. Said it was completely compatible! I suspect it is
  27. but you can't prove it from that dreadful manual.
